B.Ed. Admission

Admissions to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program in Punjab are conducted as per the guidelines and notification issued by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Punjab. All eligible candidates seeking admission must apply through the centralized online counseling portal managed by the state government. The admission process ensures transparency and merit-based selection in accordance with the norms laid down by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official website for updates regarding the admission schedule, eligibility criteria, counseling procedures, and seat allotment. Our college follows all rules and regulations prescribed by the state government and welcomes aspiring educators to join our B.Ed. program for the upcoming academic session.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Ed. Admission in Punjab

As per the notification issued by the Government of Punjab and the guidelines of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the eligibility criteria for admission to the B.Ed. course in Punjab are as follows:

  1. Educational Qualification:

    • Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Arts, Science, Social Science, Commerce, or equivalent discipline from a recognized university.

    • The candidate must have secured at least 50% marks in the qualifying degree.

    • For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Backward Classes (BC), and other reserved categories of Punjab, a relaxation of 5% marks (i.e., 45%) is applicable.

  2. Candidates with Engineering/Technology Degrees:

    • Those who have completed a B.E. or B.Tech degree with specialization in Science and Mathematics must have obtained 55% marks or equivalent grade.

  3. Final Year Students:

    • Candidates who are appearing in the final year of their qualifying examination may also apply. However, their admission will be provisional and subject to submission of the final result as per the schedule.

  4. Domicile:

    • Preference is given to candidates who are domiciled in Punjab, though outside state candidates may also apply, subject to availability of seats and as per state government rules.

  5. Age Limit:

  • There is no upper age limit for admission to the B.Ed. course in Punjab.
